Adding a login
Offline-mode or premium, and which one a server will accept.
An account is the game identity a client plays as. Every client needs one; a client cannot run without it.
There are two kinds, and which you need is decided by the server, not by you.
Offline-mode account
An offline-mode username. You type a name, and that is the whole account.
Works on servers running in offline mode, which covers most private servers. On a premium-only server it is rejected at the door.
Add it from the Clients page's Accounts section: Add account, type the username under Add offline-mode account, done. The new-client form can also add one on the spot.
Many offline-mode accounts at once
Under Many offline logins in the same sheet, Add many logins creates a batch: either numbered (a name start, a first number and how many) or pasted, one name per line. Names you already have are skipped. Tick Also make a client for each to set up a client for every new account in the same step, all pointed at one server.
For accounts you already have, select them in the Accounts section and use Make clients.
Premium account
A real game account, needed by any server running in online mode, which includes most large public servers.
Adding one uses a device-code sign-in: CubeMind shows you a code, you enter it on the account provider's own sign-in page, and the provider hands back a token. Tokens are stored encrypted and never leave the API process. Your password is never seen by CubeMind at all: you type it on the provider's page.
See premium sign-in for the steps and what to do when a token expires.
Which do I need?
| The server… | Use |
|---|---|
| is offline-mode | Offline-mode |
| is online-mode, premium-only | Premium |
| kicks you instantly with an authentication message | the other one |
An immediate, every-time kick right after connecting is almost always this mismatch.
Status
Each account shows where it stands:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Valid | Usable now. |
| Pending | Just added, not yet checked. |
| Refresh needed | A premium token expired, so re-authenticate. |
| Invalid | The account provider rejected it. |
| Banned | The account is banned. |
Each account also shows how many clients use it and how many of those are running, or not used by any client.
Removing a login
If nothing uses it, it goes quietly.
If clients use it, you are told exactly what will happen first: This account is used by 3 client(s): … A client can't run without an account, so they will be deleted with it. If any are up, it adds 2 of them are running right now and will be stopped first.
That is the one destructive edge here. Detach the account from those clients first if you only meant to remove the account.
