Earning with ads
Watch offers for coins, and the free tier those coins pay for.
The Watch & earn card on the Base shows what you have earned today. Press Watch a video, complete an offer, and the coins land on your Coins page. It is the one way onto the platform that costs nothing but time.
The free tier
A new account starts on the Free plan, with no card needed:
- what the pricing page lists under Free: today that is a client that runs on your phone (see phone clients)
- no selling on the marketplace: a Free account cannot list its own flows
Coins you earn here still buy what coins buy, but they do not turn a Free account into a cloud one: clients online around the clock come from a plan.
How the coins are worked out
The amount is derived from what the advertiser actually paid for your offer, not from a flat rate. A bigger offer pays more, a video pays less, and an offer that paid too little to be worth a single coin pays nothing rather than being rounded up.
Two ceilings apply per day, both set by the operator:
- a coin ceiling, larger on the free tier, because that account has no other way in
- an offer ceiling, regardless of what you are on
Both reset at midnight UTC. Paying customers have a smaller ceiling on purpose: this is a top-up toward a dedicated IP or a flow from the Flow library, not a way to fund the account.
When the coins arrive
When the advertiser confirms the offer, not when your browser thinks you finished. That is usually seconds and occasionally a few minutes, and the page updates on its own.
It also means a blocked ad earns nothing. There is no way around that and no trick to it: if the offer never runs, nobody pays us, and there is nothing to pass on to you. Nothing on the page tracks you across other sites.
If an offer is taken back
Advertisers reverse offers they decide were not genuine. When that happens the coins come back out of your balance. Only coins you were given can be taken, never coins you bought with a card, and never below zero. If you have already spent them, the reversal takes what is there and stops.
Consent
Offers load from an ad partner that sets its own cookies, so you agree twice before anything from it loads:
- Optional cookies. Allow them in the cookie banner, or with Allow optional cookies on the offers card, which records the same choice. Until you do, the card shows nothing from the partner.
- The partner. The first time, the offers card names the partner and what it receives (your IP address and browser details, never your email or anything about your clients). Agree there to see offers.
Withdraw either at any time: Cookie settings in the footer of every page turns optional cookies off, and Stop showing ads on the offers card withdraws the second. Coins you have already earned stay yours.
What the coins buy
The same things as any other coin: a rented slot on a plan that includes slots, flows from the Flow library, a dedicated IP, and the rest of what coins buy. Coins never pay for runtime by the hour: a client runs because a slot covers it.
